Dublin Zoo is Ireland's national zoo.
Join our team of Discovery & Learning volunteers. You will be involved in informal educational roles, talking to our visitors about animals and conservation. The role includes: - Staffing the Learning & Discovery Centre / Guided Tours / Out & About. - Visitor Support & education / Visitor Events: fun and educational seasonal visitor events. - Assisting at themed animal weekends. - Creating Educational Resources. - Setting up Touch Tables & bringing artefacts around the zoo as learning tools for our visitors. - Animal Research Assistance. - Kids Weekend Clubs. - Teachers Assistants: helping the educational team with their work and more. Time Commitment: You will be required for 4 hours per week during the 6 month period March - August. There will be three Saturday training sessions in February /March that you will need to attend. PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers do not work with the animal teams or assist with animal care or habitat maintenance in anyway.
