About Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH)
ICHH currently feed up to 100 rough sleepers in the Dublin area at night. At ICHH we strive to provide Dublin's rough sleepers with a frontline service of hot drinks, food, sleeping bags, clothing advice and support.
Inner City Helping Homeless was formed in November 2013 to combat the ever growing homeless crisis that was clearly evident across the city of Dublin.
We are currently looking for volunteer drivers to assist with our Mobile Outreach Unit.
Volunteers work as part of a team and must be able to work late nights. Drivers transport Outreach Support Workers around Dublin City and surrounding areas to engage with rough sleepers and provide bed referrals, sleeping bags, food and support. The hours are as follows:
Weekdays 10.15pm – 3am (approx.)
Weekends 9pm – 4am (approx.) Drivers and support volunteers load the van with supplies for the night's outreach and unload at the end of the shift. Record number of rough sleepers. Record & report any incidents.
Commitment of Time:
You will need to be available to work late nights on a rota basis, one shift per fortnight.

What's required for this position
Drivers must be over 26 years of age with full clean driving licence and preferably a minimum of two year's experience driving a van.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Drivers must be able to commit to volunteering at least 1 night per fortnight.
Volunteer induction will apply.
