About Ballymun Regional Youth Resource
Ballymun Regional Youth Resource (BRYR), is a vibrant Youth Work organisation working with 10-24 year old's in Ballymun, Dublin. Our aim is to empower young people from Ballymun & surrounding areas to reach their full potential. We put in place a range of resources that will support them to make a happy, healthy and successful transition to adulthood. We seek to promote health, well- being and resilience at all stages of their development.
What's Involved
We are looking for people who enjoy working with young people and who have experience/ can of sharing their love/ skill of music.
Have you knowledge of how to use studio equipment and to record music, do you know various apps that can also be used? Would like to share this knowledge?
Do you feel you would enjoy working with young people & feel you have skills to share with them?
Have you a skill in this area we never even heard of that you want to share ?
Your role will be to share your musical skill with young people who attend our Music Club. The young people will be in groups according to their ages 13 and 14yrs and 15yrs+. There will be a Youth Worker supervising the groups and the Music Club volunteer will contribute with their skills and expertise.
What's required for this position
We are looking for people who have skills in using a Music production, or in singing, or songwriting, drumming or playing a guitar.
Would you see yourself as caring, patient , committed , consistent , open to learning, sensitive to the needs of young people and possibly have insight into the experiences young people face in today's society? ...
Then why don’t you volunteer for a vibrant music club which is led out by an experienced team of youth workers and volunteers. You could be facilitated to lead out a programme yourself should you wish to do so, Come along and give it a go.
