About Sphere 17 Regional Youth Services
Sphere 17 believes all young people can achieve great things; some may need some support to do that. Our mission is to support young people to be the best that they can be. We provide support in different ways, for different young people, as they need it. We do this through drop-ins, group work, one-to-one work, outreach and outings.
What's Involved
Sphere 17 is a regional youth service for young people, 10-24 years, in the Dublin 17 region. The main purpose of the service is to provide young people with a range of programmes, services and activities that reflect their needs and interests, and which supports them to develop positively toward adulthood.
Much of the good work by youth work staff with young people would not be possible without the informed support and direction of the Board. The Board are looking to further enhance their capacity to fulfill their important governance role by recruiting 1-2 new Directors.
Times and commitment required for this role
Board meetings every 6-8 weeks - Wednesdays 12-2pm
(sub) Committee meetings every 6-8 weeks usually 1-2 weeks preceding the Board meeting (day/time flexible). Duration 1-2hours.
