About Volunteer Stroke Scheme Louth
The Volunteer Stroke Scheme (VSS) is a not for profit organisation which was set up in 1983 to cater for the needs of stroke patients and their families. The mission of the VSS is to develop world class support services for stroke survivors throughout Ireland. We have four Dublin based clubs where groups meet on a weekly basis and participate in therapeutic type activities, as well as physiotherapy sessions. Annual Holidays, Outings and Christmas Parties are also held.
What's Involved
The Louth Volunteer Stroke Scheme is a new weekly social/support group run in Dundalk and Drogheda for people who have suffered a stroke. The VSS group will run once per week, on Tuesday mornings in Holy Family Creche Ballsgrove and Wednesday mornings in Redeemer Community Centre from 11am - 1pm.
We are seeking volunteer drivers.
The Volunteer drivers will be asked to collect a VSS member at their home locally and drive them to the meeting, as well as return the person to their home. Your support will be very much appreciated and will mean that a person can be included in the VSS weekly group.
