About Albion Rovers Football Club

Albions Rovers F.C. was founded in 1977 and has a current membership of over 500 juveniles and over 80 adult players. It fields 38 competitive teams in competitions at local and regional level. These comprise all age groups from academy through to three adult male teams and one female adult team. The club membership is drawn from a wide geographical area, including Monasterboice, Collon, Tullyallen, Tenure, Ballymakenny, Killineer and Drogheda. These areas have a large and growing youth population which is mirrored in the Clubs membership.

What's Involved

Albion Rovers Football Club is hosting a Charity Family Fun Day in Association with The Rainbow Club (who provide support and services for children with special needs) on Sunday 24th July. The event will have lots of family orientated activities and will be open to everyone to participate. A feature of the event will be activities for children such as face painting, balloon modelling, magicians etc. and the club are seeking volunteers to assist with providing childrens activities on the day in order to assist with raising funds for the event and in particular the Rainbow Club. Any time offered on the day would be appreciated.

What's required for this position

Volunteers should be experienced in childrens entertainment and be good with working with children ranging in age from toddles to young teens. Specific skills such as face painting, balloon modelling etc. would be great as the idea is to provide the children with as much fun as possible. The club is open to all ideas relating to childrens entertainment.
