About Ruhama

Ruhama is a national voluntary organisation based in Dublin that works to provide frontline supports to women affected by prostitution and victims of sex trafficking. We offer a range of confidential and non-judgemental services including outreach, advocacy, education and development programmes and counselling.

What's Involved

We are looking for volunteers for our Counselling Services. This opportunity is suitable for Student, Pre-Accredited or Accredited Counsellors.

- Be part of creating a safe environment for the client in Ruhama
- Adhere to best practice standards and ethics in counselling
- Participate in monthly peer supervision meetings and external supervision
- Notify the administrative office at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend an appointment

All Counsellors receive:
1. Full training and ongoing support
2. Regular team meetings and peer support
3.Contribution towards supervision costs

Volunteering with us can be very rewarding. The women we support are often marginalised, vulnerable and in difficult situations. You can help to genuinely change their lives by enabling us to provide them with a wide range of free and confidential support services.
