About Ruhama
Ruhama is a national voluntary organisation based in Dublin that works to provide frontline supports to women affected by prostitution and victims of sex trafficking. We offer a range of confidential and non-judgemental services including outreach, advocacy, education and development programmes and counselling.
What's Involved
- Teach an adult sewing class beginner and intermediate sewing skills
- In conjunction with the group develop specific projects of interest
- To notify your supervisor at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend an appointment
- Attend team meetings
- Participate in training and supervision provided
- Be part of creating a safe environment for the client in Ruhama
- Report your volunteer hours and progress to supervisor on a monthly basis

What's required for this position
- A qualification and / or excellent knowledge of sewing and how to complete sewing projects
- Ideally group work facilitation skills from a community development perspective
- Experience working with vulnerable / marginalised groups an advantage
- Flexibility and an understanding of the Community and Voluntary Sector
