All Together in Dignity Ireland (ATD) strives to combat Poverty with a Human Rights approach and with the participation of people in poverty. Linking with other groups who are concerned by poverty and exclusion and involvement with families and individuals whose life is affected by poverty.

What's Involved

"UN End Poverty Day" Team Volunteers will run and support activities of the campaign "#WeAreOne to #LeaveNoOneBehind" which will have its momentum in October 2016 around the UN Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

--- The project will promote the new 17 Global Sustainable Development Goals (adopted on 25th September 2015 in New York) and value the contribution to the achievement of these Goals by people living in poverty.

--- Campaign will include social media campaign and 2 public events on Saturday 24th September and Monday 17th October.

--- Role of volunteers Campaign team will be to support the preparation and the events of the Campaign in September and October 2016. Tasks in this effort will include:
writing emails and making calls to potential participants;
planning and logistics preparation for the events;
communications including writing press documents and information booklets, workshop facilitations, etc.

What's required for this position

Genuine interest in discovering the work and commitments of All Together in Dignity Ireland (www.atdireland.ie) (www.atdireland.ie)
- Genuine interest in considering people in poverty as the first expert to consult in designing anti-poverty strategies
- Genuine interest in human-rights based anti-poverty policies issues and in the new United Nations post 2015 Sustainable Development Agenda.
