About CAMEO Care
To provide an activities based day care service for people with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, twice weekly. To support family members through day respite. To provide an advice and advocacy forum for people with dementia and their carers
What's Involved
Especially interested in volunteers with creative hobbies such as music, flower arranging, also any any arts/craft activity skills. This work does not necessarily have to be every day that CAMEO Care is open, it can be on a loosely scheduled basis so that people do not overlap, whatever is required really.
What's required for this position
All creative skills and musical skills, good social and communication skills. Ability to be able to get to know and engage people with dementia. Kindness, empathy and able to 'go with the flow'.
