About Cashel Arts Festival
Cashel Arts Festival 2016 will take place 15th to 18th September in Cashel, County Tipperary, famous for the ancient and iconic Rock of Cashel. The significant heritage sites in the town form a dramatic backdrop to a fine selection of contemporary arts events including music, dance, visual arts, film, theatre, workshops, family events and literature events.
Involving and encouraging visitors and the local community to participate in a wide variety of arts is key to our festival. Volunteers have active roles in events, stewarding exhibitions and offering important front of house assistance.
Our motto is ‘Arts for All’ and volunteers play a pivotal role in the festival.

What's Involved
Tasks associated with this role include:
Welcoming the public to the venues
Ticket collection / Ushering members of the public to their seats at performances
General audience management / Stewarding events to ensure the safety of the public and the success of the event
Set-up, take down and tidying up as required
Gallery Invigilation / Maintaining security of exhibitions
Distribution of festival brochures / Venue information duties
What's required for this position
Good, friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills, organisational skills, event management and hospitality skills.
