About Dublin Fringe Festival

Dublin Fringe Festival is a multi-disciplinary festival and year round organisation focusing on new and innovative approaches to the arts. Its programme is divided in the following genres: theatre; dance; live/visual art & music. The festival supports the development and presentation of new work by Irish and international artists of vision, nurturing artistic ambition and excellence.

What's Involved

Dublin Fringe Festival is back, with a variety of indoor and outdoor events across various locations throughout the city from the 8th - 25th of September!

Your Role
Volunteers are a huge part of what makes the Dublin Fringe Festival possible. In order to facilitate all of our shows, volunteers are located in venues across the city, ushering / scanning tickets / managing crowds / providing information on the shows and generally being a friendly face that provides a wonderful experience for the audience!

Your Commitment
Shifts will usually range from 3 - 5 hours, sometimes across multiple venues, and volunteers will always be in groups or pairs so there is lots of opportunity to meet like-minded people!

1. There will be a recruitment evening on 17th of August via Zoom with more information . If you submit the application form you will be automatically emailed a link. If you would like to wait to apply till after the session, just email Daniel at volunteers@fringefest.com for the link.
2. Volunteer Induction session will take place on evening of 5th September in city centre location.

What's required for this position

Any previous experience with front of house / box office / scanning tickets / event management / stewarding is always a bonus, however the only skill necessary is to have a can-do attitude and a friendly demeanour.

Benefits you will receive as a volunteer

Volunteers get to be an integral part of the Dublin Fringe Festival team, and will be compensated for their shifts with complimentary tickets to festival shows (subject to availability).

Getting there

All venues are accessible by bus and most are in the City Centre. Details on transportation will be provided once shifts are allocated.
