What's Involved

The Liberties Festival, organised by SICCDA in collaboration with Cuckoo Events, is one of Ireland’s oldest festivals. From modest beginnings in 1970 it has grown to become a highlight of the summer in Dublin with a series of family-friendly, sporting and community events, and an exciting multi-cultural and arts programme encompassing visual art, film, dance, comedy, literature and music.

The 2019 Liberties Festival is taking place from 17th-21st July. This is a general call for all types of volunteers that may be interested in helping out at all our various events.

Roles are varied, all hands on deck!

  • Set up at events and clear up afterward;
  • serving food and drink;
  • meet and greet at venue;
  • taking tickets and ushering;
  • supervising children and generally helping at Family Fun Day;
  • working backstage at various shows, exhibitions etc. etc. etc.

  • Time Commitment
    A two hour, once off commitment is the minimum that we can work with.
    The volunteer can help out at more than one event if they so wish!
