About Athletics Ireland
Athletics Ireland are the non profit making National Governing Body for the Sport of Athletics in Ireland and have the following vision :
Educational – We will help every child in Ireland experience athletics through the school curriculum. Our volunteers and staff will work alongside teachers to help children experience and enjoy athletics.
Recreational – We will promote athletics as a key part of a healthy lifestyle that contributes to a positive work/life balance.
Sporting – We ensure that everyone with athletic talent reaches their full potential by providing the appropriate pathways, funding and coaching. We also provide the competitive opportunities and programmes to assist Irish athletes compete with distinction on the World and European stage.
What's Involved
Volunteers will be involved in race day activities at the Rock n Roll 5K in DIT Grangegorman on August 11th. Activities will include:
1. Stewarding, Finish Line Assistance
2. Baggage Management
3. Water/Fruit Distribution to runners
and many other tasks!
Volunteers are asked to do 4 hour shifts between 8.30am- 12.30pm
What's required for this position
Volunteers must be able to follow instruction, work hard, and work well under pressure.

Level of English required for this role:
Basic English
