Race Team Volunteers - Depaul Raft Race

Depaul

About Depaul

Depaul is a homeless charity providing accommodation and support through hostels and outreach services. Depaul believes that everyone should have a place to call home and a stake in their community. Our aim is to work with those who are socially excluded and marginalised by providing a quality led service in order to produce the best possible outcomes for those accessing our services. We work in partnership with central and local government, housing associations and other non-governmental organisations such as the society of St Vincent de Paul.

What's Involved

The Depaul Raft Race Against Homelessness, is our flagship fundraising event taking place on Saturday September 8th.

Thirty teams will race their rafts across Grand Canal Dock, we will also have a children’s games area, penalty shoot-out into Grand Canal Dock, a DJ and more.

To make this happen we need a team of amazing volunteers from 9am until 2pm.

The Race Team volunteers will do the following:
• Prepare the race area before participants arrive
• Man the start and finish lines
• Keep scores
• Focus on the racers, give support and information
• Know the rules and the race order
• Help the race run smoothly
