Youth Work Ireland Louth offers opportunities to young people to become involved in activities to support their growth and development by recognising their potential, promoting self-esteem and creating opportunities so that they can participate equally in society. We respond to the personal, social, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs of the young people of County Louth, highlighting and addressing those issues that most affect them. Youth Work Ireland Louth is a voluntary organisation which was founded in 1986. Through our services we also endeavour to alleviate disadvantage and social exclusion by highlighting the needs that are specific to those most at risk

What's Involved

Saint Kevin’s Youth club Philipstown, Ardee: are seeking adult leaders. The volunteer Youth Leader will be co-facilitating a group. The leader would be expected to develop a good relationship with the young people and get to know them. The leader will be involved in supervising and engaging the group in activities.

If a volunteer has specific skills he/she is encouraged to utilise them within the group, for example music, art, basketball etc.

Volunteer leaders will be provided with training and guidance and expected to follow the code of conduct given by the organisation.

What's required for this position

Motivated.
Work as part of a team Able to work on your own initiative.

Level of English required for this role:
Intermediate English

Minimum time commitment: 1 year

Hours required: 2hrs Weekly
