About YMCA Dublin
YMCA Dublin has been helping vulnerable young people in Dublin’s Inner City for over 160 years. Youth work, education, family support programmes, community childcare and community employment are just some of the services built into the very core of the YMCA’s existence. We work with young people from créche going age through to youth work with education programmes for those who leave school early.
What's Involved
On Saturday 24th August we will host our Annual Family Fun Day, inviting families of the young people we work with to participate in activities. A barbecue and bouncy castles and face painting & balloon modelling will make it a day to remember for all families involved.
Many of the families we work with are not in a financial position to take their children out on day trips, or may need a little support and encouragement to do so. We are keen to have the families socialise together along with staff, creating further positive bonds between parents within the community.
The day would be a fantastic in bringing our service users, fundraisers and volunteers together in a memorable way. Therefore we need 20 enthusiastic volunteers willing to have fun while contributing.
The event will take place from 1030am to 3.00pm on Saturday 24th August.
The tasks involved, which will be rotatory, include:
General stewarding & Set-up
Parking overseeing
Welcoming guests & floating around
Marshal cricket pitch (keep people off)
Organizing children queues for the face painting and balloon modeler
Helping out with the food queue and serving food and candy floss
Bouncy castle supervision & children games assistance
Clean-up
