Volunteer Club Leader

Dom Savio Youth Club

About Dom Savio Youth Club

We are a youth club for Young People and Adults with Special needs, catering for both Physical and Mental Disabilities. We are a completely Voluntary based group aiming to provide a fun safe space for our members to do fun activities and interact with their peers.

What's Involved

You will be assisting with Art & Crafts projects although you don't need be super creative as we already have an A&C staff member! You will be helping our special needs members with their craft projects. We also organise quizzes, bingo and other games. Sometimes we run a disco and Karaoke session but generally we need people to help with simple tasks - maybe making tea or coffee for members and helping to put art supplies back and generally tidy up!

We may also require volunteers to take turns doing bus run with our driver - both to collect and to drop home members and to help them on & off the bus. We meet every Monday night between 6.30 - 9.00pm, we have 25 members aged between 16 - 65 years.

We have a waiting list of more members who wish to join but we don't have enough volunteers to support them so we are keen to hear from you if you can help us out! We are especially looking for male leaders if possible as our only other male leader has had to leave for a job opportunity, but we desperately need as many volunteers as possible.
