Depaul is a homeless charity providing accommodation and support through hostels and outreach services. Depaul believes that everyone should have a place to call home and a stake in their community. Our aim is to work with those who are socially excluded and marginalised by providing a quality led service in order to produce the best possible outcomes for those accessing our services. We work in partnership with central and local government, housing associations and other non-governmental organisations such as the society of St Vincent de Paul.

What's Involved

The purpose of the roles is to provide motivation and structure in planning cooking/baking session with service users. Volunteers first task will be getting to know service users which will lead into facilitating basic cooking/baking classes encouraging service user participation in planning, budgeting and preparation.

Volunteer Induction will take place on Wednesday, 29th May at 5.30pm.

What's required for this position

Ability to plan and help prepare basic cooking activities on a budget. Organised but patient approach with good communication and listening skills. Ability to engage those with low self esteem and lack of motivation.
