About St. Michael's House, Santry Hall
The aim of St. Michael's House is to work with individuals to help them to gain skills that will benefit them in everyday life. We also promote interaction within the person's community .i.e classes, courses and activities. St. Michael's also helps the people they work with to meet goals they would like to have in their lives.
What's Involved
We are currently looking for volunteers to help us in Santry Hall to facilitate a group to do an Art Class. This would suit someone with a passion or interest in the arts.
You will be helping to run an Art Class for a group of men and women from the ages of 20 - 60 years, assisting them to complete pieces of art. This could be something that the group could build on and hopefully build on by doing an art project with the facilitator. We would need a commitment of 1-2 hours with us per week if possible.
What's required for this position
good people skills, also have some experience working in teams and also if individuals had experience working with people with intellectual disabilities. This is not mandatory but it may benefit individuals who are interested in this volunteering role.
