About Caring & Sharing Association

Caring and Sharing Association (CASA) works to develop friendships and provide respite and social outlets for people with disabilities. We are unique in that we work with and support people with all disabilities - physical, sensory and intellectual - of all ages and from all backgrounds.

What's Involved

CASA is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join its social groups. These groups are based on both sides of Dublin City, in addition to Cork, Maynooth, Longford, Bray and Loughrea.

Volunteers are asked to attend one social activity a month usually on a Sunday afternoon between two and six o'clock, to support a CASA member. No experience needed, just bags of enthusiasm. All events supervised. CASA organises social activities for its members with physical and/or intellectual disability.
Minimum commitment six months.

What's required for this position

To be a CASA volunteer it helps to be patient, open, friendly, a good communicator and respectful of where each individual is coming from. The emphasis is on communication, friendship, support and fun.
