Rehabcare is a community-based resource centre that assist people with disabilities to achieve their full potential and a better quality of life. Our mission is helping "the people we support to be more independent; helping them to contribute to and be more included in their communities; empowering them with the skills and confidence to be active in the workforce; and supporting them to be in charge of their health and wellness".

What's Involved

The volunteer will be assisting to deliver programmes to people with varying abilities, either in our own existing programmes or in their chosen area of expertise i.e. music / arts / crafts / lanquage.

These would be a programmes which last for a number of weeks/months, therefore the volunteer would be expected to commit to stay with the centre for a minimum of 6 months.

We would also like any potential volunteers to be committed to attending the centre for a minumum of 5 hours per week, either on a single day or over two days.

What's required for this position

  • Self motivated person who is interested/experienced in the work of the Disability/Voluntary Sector
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and experience of dealing with people of all abilities
  • An ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and respect


    Above all, volunteer must have the capacity to be responsible for themselves, as well as the groups that they are working with.

    Fluent English
