Holly’s Horse Haven is the only official cross border/cross community 24/7 critical care rescue charity in Ireland,they are an endorsed not for profit charity making a meaningful difference in the lives of neglected and at-risk horses & ponies throughout the country through direct intervention, education, community outreach, the raising of awareness, and through hands-on horse rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing.

What's Involved

As an add on to our horse rescue and rehabilitation activities we encourage people to come and visit us at our location in Howe's Hill. Through this experience plus requests for more diverse projects our charity began addressing the concept of incorporating a “Creature Consciousness & Go Green Community” by expanding our Model to include a platform to promote Animal welfare education, holistic and Eco growing projects through which we can reach out to our many supporters.
Tasks Include

  • Helping with developing petting farm,
  • cleaning & caring for our six rabbits,
  • helping with geese, birds etc.

    What's required for this position

    There are no skills required for any of the roles we need volunteers to assist us with here at the charity as our yard manager is there to guide you in your daily tasks.
    If you are interested in learning more, we also have workshops available as part of our Creature Consciousness / Go Green community.
