About Boyne Garda Youth Diversion Project
Garda Youth Diversion Project delivering a community-based crime prevention programme, aimed at diverting young people from becoming involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour.
We help children develop their sense of community and their social skills through different activities.
What's Involved
We are seeking volunteers to support our work with young people aged 10-18. We provide both group and one to one sessions empowering these young people to make positive choices personally and in relation to their engagement with the community.
The volunteer will assist with the supervision and running of activities organised for and by participating young people
Volunteers will also be engaged in supporting one to one work delivered by the Boyne Project's staff team.
Volunteers must be able to work closely with young people and enable them to learn new skills, encourage them to try new activities and be able to interact with them in an informal situation
Our groups meet weekdays from 4-7pm
