About Boyne Garda Youth Diversion Project

Garda Youth Diversion Project delivering a community-based crime prevention programme, aimed at diverting young people from becoming involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour. We help children develop their sense of community and their social skills through different activities.

What's Involved

We are seeking a volunteer to support young people who are due to leave our service to develop the tools that will help them to progress into a career
Tasks include assisting young people to:

  • Develop professional CVs
  • Develop interview skills
    This role may involve the volunteer designing and developing workshops and working individually with young people who use our service.
    Our groups meet on weekdays from 4-7pm

    What's required for this position

  • Person-centred and youth focused
  • Good communicator with excellent verbal and written English
  • Motivated and ability to motivate others
  • Previous knowledge or expertise in CV development and interview skills would be an advantage but is not necessary

    Fluent English

    Minimum time commitment: 6 months

    Hours required: 2hrs Weekly
