About Boyne Garda Youth Diversion Project

Garda Youth Diversion Project delivering a community-based crime prevention programme, aimed at diverting young people from becoming involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour. We help children develop their sense of community and their social skills through different activities.

What's Involved

We are seeking a volunteer to support young people who are due to leave our service to develop the tools that will help them to progress into a career
Tasks include assisting young people to:

Develop professional CVs

Develop interview skills
This role may involve the volunteer designing and developing workshops and working individually with young people who use our service.
Our groups meet on weekdays from 4-7pm

What's required for this position

Person-centred and youth focused

Good communicator with excellent verbal and written English

Motivated and ability to motivate others

Previous knowledge or expertise in CV development and interview skills would be an advantage but is not necessary

Fluent English

Times and commitment required for this role
