About Boyne Garda Youth Diversion Project

Garda Youth Diversion Project delivering a community-based crime prevention programme, aimed at diverting young people from becoming involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour. We help children develop their sense of community and their social skills through different activities.

What's Involved

We have a group of young people who would like to make a short film to mark the completion of their time with Boyne Project. The volunteer's tasks will include:

  • Supporting young people through the creative process of making a film.
  • Supporting and encouraging young people.
  • Helping teach camera technique and use of software for film editing.
  • Working closely with other volunteers and staff to help young people create meaningful media and inspire creative confidence.
    Our groups meet from 4-7pm on weekdays

    What's required for this position

    Patient, Enthusiastic about working with young people.
    Knowledgeable about film making and editing software.
    Belief in the potential of young people

    Level of English required for this role:
    Intermediate English
