About ADHD Ireland

HADD-ADHD Ireland works to raise awareness of attention deficit disorder; campaign for services; provide information and support.

What's Involved

HADD volunteer support group facilitators are responsible for facilitating regular support group meetings, which take place currently in the Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups, Dublin 7. The support groups are for those affected by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and have an average of eight attendees per meeting, usually attendees are parents/carers or relatives.

The meetings are facilitated by two volunteer facilitators, who receive initial and ongoing training from HADD as needed. All volunteers adhere to HADD’s ethos, policies and procedures. The facilitators are supported by, and report to, the HADD operations manager. Ideally, one of the co-facilitators will be affected by ADHD themselves (e.g., a parent/carer of an individual with ADHD).
