Irish Heart Foundation is Ireland’s only national charity for heart disease and stroke. Our Mission is to lead the fight to save lives and make life better for those suffering from heart disease and stroke.
We can only do this work with the support of individuals like you who fundraise and support our campaigns.
What's Involved
Irish Heart runs a stroke support group for stroke survivors in the Tallaght area in Dublin. To help some survivors access the group we need a volunteer driver or two.
The role involves collecting one or more stroke survivors from their home and taking them to a support group. A driver usually returns 2 hours later to collect that person(s) and return them home although one way trips may be an option. The individual may be elderly and may have walking difficulties but a driver will not be expected to lift anybody. The group is based in Tallaght but some individuals travel from Clondalkin, Templeogue, Firhouse etc.
We would be delighted with the support and it makes such a big difference for stroke survivors to meet up at our weekly support group. You would be helping them attend.
What's required for this position
Full drivers licence, friendly personality and comfortable in meeting new people.
Level of English required for this role:
Intermediate English

Getting there
