About Down Syndrome Ireland
Down Syndrome Ireland is dedicated to being the primary source of information and support to people with Down syndrome, their families and the professional community.
We are working towards an improved quality of life for our members along with a respect and acceptance of people with Down syndrome as valued members of Irish society.
What's Involved
You will be involved in a variety of tasks including helping with displays in our shop, keep the shop looking as good as it can be, sorting, hanging and tagging clothes, pricing, till operation.
Also you will have your opinions/suggestions listened to.
Above all, you will welcome our customers with a smile and help them find what they are looking for.
What's required for this position
If you enjoy meeting and chatting to people then our Charity shop is the place for you.
We stock a large range of all types of Books, Bric a Brac, Toys, DVD's, CD's and Clothes.
You will get to work with all age groups and various nationalities.
As a volunteer working with us you will be part of a great team.
You will be outgoing, friendly, welcoming, energetic, has a good personality and a happy outlook.
Retail experience would be fantastic but not necessary.
Honesty and trustworthiness is vital. You will learn how to handle cash, work with lots of different age groups and enjoy working with people.
