Barnardos supports children whose well being is under threat, by working with them,their families and communities and by campaigning for the rights of children. Barnardos was established in Ireland in 1962 and is Ireland's leading independent children's charity.
The Barnardos National Collection Day, kindly supported by Dell, takes place on Friday 13th September 2019. We need volunteers to help with organised bag packs and on-street collections in communities across the country. By generously volunteering your time you’ll be helping change lives and create brighter futures for some of the most vulnerable children across Ireland.
Main duties & tasks will include: Acting as volunteer Team Leader at an agreed collection point in your community.
Engaging with members of the public to represent Barnardos and encourage donations.
Use fundraising materials to promote the campaign and the work of Barnardos.
There is the scope for flexibility in this role - you can either lead your team on site for the whole collection or simply start the collection off; assist with the changeover team during the day and then be there at the end to complete – we’d be happy to discuss options with you!!
