Recovery Walk & Family Day - Event Volunteer

Recovery Academy of Ireland

About Recovery Academy of Ireland

The Recovery Academy of Ireland is committed to advocating for the rights of those in recovery from addiction, challenging stigma, promoting recovery journeys and that of their families, contributing to the building of healthy recovery communities, creating stakeholder networks with the statutory, voluntary and community sectors and achieving progress and change in the way we work with recovering drug users based on research and evidence.

What's Involved

We are looking for additional help to make sure our event on Saturday 9th September goes as smoothly as possible and a good time is had by all. Most of our volunteers are in recovery and this year we would like them to take part in the celebrations themselves so we need others to take their place on the day to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible and the venue to returned at the end of the day in the same way we found it.

The Recovery Walk will begin at 12.30, followed by our Family Fun Day in the Garda Boat Club, Islandbridge until 4 / 4.30pm.

The roles on the day are:
• Gate marshalls * 4
