COPD Support Ireland is a charity set up to support all those living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). We are Ireland’s only national COPD support and advocacy body, bringing together local support groups from around the country, to help those living with, and caring for someone with, COPD. Louth Area COPD support people in Louth so that they know they are not alone and that support is available
What's Involved
Louth COPD Support Group would like to recruit a volunteer to take on the role of committee secretary.
Tasks will include
attend monthly support meetings on the first Friday of each month from 2.30-4.30 and where possible subgroup meetings on the first Tuesday of the month.
compile & distribute meeting notices; arranging committee meetings;
collect submissions for the meetings;
be the minute taker/distributor for monthly meetings
What's required for this position
Administration experience would be helpful.
Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
Reliable, enthusiastic and organised
Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality
An interest in supporting people with COPD and their families is desirable but not necessary
- Community Development/ Social work
- Personable Skills
Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English
