Barnardos supports children whose well being is under threat, by working with them,their families and communities and by campaigning for the rights of children. Barnardos was established in Ireland in 1962 and is Ireland's leading independent children's charity.

What's Involved

Barnardos are taking part in this year's Recovery Walk and Family Fun Day, organised by Recovery Academy of Ireland, which is taking place on Saturday, 9 September. We are looking for volunteers who have facepainters skills and volunteers who have balloon modelling skills who would be interested in getting involved at this family fun day to entertain the children who are attending this event.

Other children's entertainers who wish to volunteer are also welcome.

The Recovery walk will begin at 12.30pm, followed by the Family Fun Day in the Garda Boat Club, Islandbridge until 4 / 4.30pm. There is a small budget available to go towards the cost of face paint materials, balloons etc.

What's required for this position

Faintpainting experience and / or balloon modelling experience; experience of entertaining children and families; friendly; reliable.
