About The Living Communities
The Living Communities aims to promote ecotourism for a remote rural community in Mayo, celebrating the historic connections of this community with France and Germany, while also advancing the preservation of the environment.
What's Involved
Our Ecotour project, designed for the German and French markets, has reached the stage where we are looking for a German Strategic Partner (a tour company). Your main task will be, with assistance, to help us to achieve this goal. The level of work you will be asked to do will vary as the project goes from one stage to the next (but will never be onerous).
We ask that you stay with us out of a wish to see a good social justice project succeed, one which celebrates the historic bonds shared by Ireland and Germany (well researched and provided in document and video forms on the website). We give voice to a remote community in the Northwest, with a great, 3,000 year-old heritage.
