About Coolstars Kids Club

CoolStars Kids Club caters for children with mild disabilities aged 5 -12 years. The club is a safe environment that offers the children a chance to be creative and to reach their full potential through educational fun activities. The club runs every 2nd Saturday from 11.30-1.30.

What's Involved

Coolstars is looking for volunteers to support/assist children aged 6-12 years who have mild disabilities or additional needs.
The club runs every second Saturday of each month (except August) from 10.45am - 1.30pm.
Volunteers are expected to undertake the following tasks.
1): Help with the setup and tidying for each session.
2): Encourage children to carry out a wide range of activities e.g. arts and crafts, computers, sports etc.
3): Assist the club leader with lunch time breaks.
4): Adhere to Coolstars Kids Covid-19 procedures and protocols at all times.

What's required for this position

Volunteers should have a keen interest in working with children.
Experience working with additional needs is beneficial, but not essential.
Personal skills to be able to work as part of a team, and communicate with others.
Basic First Aid desirable

Fluent English
