The Irish Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle Network (ISACS) is Ireland's leading support and advocacy organisation, for the development of these collective art forms. We aim to raise the profile, increase recognition and support the development of the sector.

What's Involved

The ISACS Network are seeking a Treasurer to participate on the ISACS Board of Directors, to work in close partnership with the other members of the board, the Chair and the CEO and to safeguard the organisations finances. You will be responsible for ensuring that effective financial systems and procedures have been established, are being consistently followed and are in line with best practice & legal requirements.

Main Responsibilities
• Oversee and present budgets, accounts and financial statements to the Board
• Liaise with CEO about financial matters and attend financial committee meetings
• Ensure that appropriate financial systems and controls are in place
• Ensure that record-keeping & accounts meet the conditions of funders or statutory bodies
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Present revised financial forecasts based on actual spend & regular reports on financial position
• Oversee preparation of accounts for audit and liaising with the auditor, as required
• Present accounts at the AGM
• Ensure best practice is followed in all aspects of financial management of the company.

What's required for this position

The skillset we are seeking will include:
Record keeping & Accounts, knowledge of SAGE Accountancy software, Financial Management, Budget preparation and projections, Legislation & Statutory obligations, Financial presentations & reports and all other board duties as required.

Location of volunteering opportunity:
ISACS Network, Irish Theatre Institute, 17 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2

Other location details:
The Board typically meets 4 - 6 times a year with the majority of these meetings taking place in Dublin. Occasionally the meetings take place in other parts of the country ie: Galway, Tralee, Wexford. You will be notified of such in good time.
