The Irish Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle Network (ISACS) is Ireland's leading support and advocacy organisation, for the development of these collective art forms. We aim to raise the profile, increase recognition and support the development of the sector.
What's Involved
The ISACS Board of Directors are seeking a Company Secretary to support the Chair & the CEO in ensuring the smooth functioning and legal compliance of the Board.
Main Responsibilities
• Ensuring meetings are effectively organised and minuted
• Liaising with the Chair to plan the meetings
• Circulating agendas & reports
• Taking minutes and circulating approved minutes
• Keeping up-to-date contact details (i.e. names, addresses and telephone numbers) for the board and (where relevant) ordinary members of the organisation.
• Upholding the legal requirements of governing documents, charity law, company law etc
• Checking quorum is present at meetings
• Ensuring elections are in line with stipulated procedures
• Ensuring organisation's activities are in line with its objects
• Communication and correspondence
• Responding to all board correspondence
Given these responsibilities, the Secretary often acts as an information and reference point for the Chair and other committee members: clarifying past practice and decisions; confirming legal requirements; and retrieving relevant documentation.
What's required for this position
We are looking for someone with experience in Company Law, the Governance Code, the Non Profit & the Charitable sector, administration & organisational expertise and good communication skills.

ISACS Network, Irish Theatre Institute, 17 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2
Other location details:
We meet 4 - 6 times per year mostly in Dublin. Occasionally a meeting will take place outside in places such as: Galway, Wexford, Limerick, Tralee etc.
