After School Club Volunteer

The Dublin 7 School Completion Programme

About The Dublin 7 School Completion Programme

The School Completion Programme aim to support young people deemed to be most at risk of early school leaving to remain in education and to make education relevant to these young people in their lives.

What's Involved

Provide support for primary school children requiring support in many aspects of their lives including education. The volunteer would be expected to provide a warm and friendly learning environment on a 1-1 or 1-2 basis.

This would suit a person who has an interest in working with children and a talent for engaging them in creative or fun activities. No qualifications necessary.

There will be about 10 children involved in this programme who are of primary school age. This means we can give lots of attention to each child and help them benefit as much as possible from the programme. While the after-school programme aims to meet as many of their needs as we can, (such as educational support, social development, practical support and fun!) we also use the building of relationships with them and their parents to support positive change in their home lives.

If you think this is something you would be interested in please get in touch!
