About Drogheda Homeless Aid
Drogheda Homeless Aid aims to restore dignity and hope by providing care, support and shelter for homeless men, encouraging self-development, independent living and resettlement. Drogheda Homeless Aid caters for 22 residents at any one time with 140 men typically staying in the hostel in a typical twelve-month period. Drogheda Homeless Aid is also a housing association with 4 long term houses and 5 transitional houses. Drogheda Homeless Aid is a registered charity and Approved Housing Body.
What's Involved
Drogheda Homeless Aid's Annual sleep out will take place on 8th December 2018. The annual Sleep Out is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Drogheda Homeless Aid. Volunteers are required to help out with this fundraising throughout the day and night
The Sleep Out also seeks to bring further awareness to the people of Drogheda on the issues of homelessness within the town.
Volunteers will be collecting in a variety of locations around Drogheda. There will also be the opportunity to help out in Termonfeckin and Dunleer if those locations are more convenient for you.
Volunteers are needed from 9am to 8pm in 3 hour shifts.
