The Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups (CCVG) is a registered charity and is Ireland’s first and largest shared facility for community and voluntary groups.
The Centre consists of 13,700 square feet of office space located in Dublin’s North Inner City. It provides office accommodation, meeting rooms, shared facilities, accounting, payroll, IT, training and development support services.
The Centre is home 48 not-for-profit organisations who are based in the Centre. We are committed to building stronger charitable, community and voluntary groups nationwide.

What's Involved

The board of Carmichael Centre, following a recent skill needs review and the planned retirement of our current Treasurer at the 2018 AGM in June having have completed his membership term, is seeking to recruit a new board member with strong financial skills.

The candidate would ideally be an experienced senior manager or partner in an accountancy practice and someone who also has a very good understanding of and interest in the not-for-profit sector.
There are currently 9 members on the Board of Carmichael Centre with 2 new members joining the board in January 2018. The maximum size of the board is 12.

The board meets around 6 times a year. Board meetings are held in Carmichael House, North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7 from 5pm-7pm. The new board member would also be required to be a member of the Audit & Finance Committee which meets 6 times a year in the national office. The estimated time commitment of the board member is 8-10 hours per month.

What's required for this position
