What's Involved
Bric-a-brac volunteer role:
We are looking for volunteers to help process, price and fill our shelves with lots of bric- a-brac.
By having volunteers supporting our shop we are able to process stock and rotate it on a weekly basis. We are looking for people to help maximise sales, increase donations and raise the profile of Oxfam.
Tasks may include:
Processing raw stock
Cleaning and pricing items
Helping identify collectable items
Replenishing shelves
Volunteer to upcycle:
Would you be skilled and interested to be part of team dedicated to restoring or upcycling furniture and other items for use on the site or for sale?
Tasks could include, depending on your skills, any or all of the following:
Restoring wooden furniture by sanding, re-varnishing, waxing or painting
Make repairs as needed
Refurbish old picture frames
Re-purpose older pieces of furniture or household items
Upholstery or upholstery repairs
Dish (plates, cups) decoration
Making planters, small bookshelves and other items
What's required for this position
