To raise awareness among supports and service providers as to what older people will need and want. To support organisations in the planning and implementation of age friendly strategies. To initiate a number of age friendly projects.

What's Involved

Age Friendly Roscrea is seeking an IT Technician / Consultant to help them set up their IT infrastructure at their building in Roscrea. The volunteer will work with and advise the group on:

• Phone / broadband packages that may suit their need.
• The best equipment to purchase to meet their needs within their budget
• Setting up of their local area and wireless network
• Setting up computer and email accounts with different access levels and privileges depending on the persons role within the organisation.

Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English

Minimum time commitment: 6 months

Hours required: 3hrs
