About Vincentian Lay Missionaries
VLM (Vincentian Lay Missionaires) is a not-for-profit volunteer sending organisation. We work in partnership with the Vincentian Fathers and the Daughters of Charity to support their work with disadvantaged people in Africa. Since 2002 our volunteers have been making valuable contributions in education and community projects.
What's Involved
VLM are seeking a person with experience in planning and successfully executing outdoor events. We hope to have a fundraising fun run in St Anne's Park, Raheny in April of this year.
We are seeking someone who can work with a planning committee - sharing skills, experience and wisdom. The person should also be available on the day of the event to work on the core event management team.
The time commitment needed will be a maximum of a one-hour meeting every fortnight until April. In the month of the event this will increase, depending on the progress of the planning.
What's required for this position
- Event planning and management skills;

Experience of outdoor sporting events e.g. Fun Runs, etc;
- Good people skills and the ability to work with a committee with various skills levels;
- Some IT and Admin skills.
