MID PEACE IV

About MID PEACE IV

The PEACE IV TEAM Project will work with groups in Co. Monaghan until April 2019. The project will have two main objectives; to support the Men's Sheds and to promote English conversation classes for migrants in the county. The PEACE IV TEAM Project 'Together Everyone Achieves More' is supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

What's Involved

Volunteer tutors with Fáilte Isteach teach conversational English during a 2 hour class, once a week, to a small group of migrant adult students. No prior teaching experience is required as training and teaching resources are provided. If you can speak English fluently, have some time to spare and would enjoy welcoming migrants into your community - you are fully qualified!

Classes are conversation-focused, informal and designed to meet the needs of the participants. Failte Isteach is a national project established in 2006 which benefits from the skills, talents and dedication of volunteers. The organisation is thriving with classes all over the country helping migrants integrate into their local community by improving their conversational English.

Volunteers of any age over 18 are welcome.

Attend 1 -2 training sessions and learn how to deliver a conversational English class.
Welcome students to the group, making them feel at ease.
