About South West Inner City Network (SWICN)

South West Inner City Network (SWICN) is a community organization founded in 1994 and based in the inner city of Dublin. The aim of SWICN is to tackle poverty and social exclusion through partnership and constructive engagement between Government and its agencies and people in disadvantaged communities.

What's Involved

As a Youth Mentor you will be:
› Supporting young people with Science, Maths and coding projects and school work.
› Supporting young people with homework and assignments.
› Building relationships young people in creative, informal setting.

About the SWICN Clubhouse
The Clubhouse, located in the heart of the liberties in Dublin, provides a safe and creative learning environment for young people between the ages of 10 and 24. The Clubhouse provides young people with new skills, confidence and choices, helping them to succeed in their careers and lives. Members learn how to use professional software for design, exploration, and experimentation. In The Clubhouse, young people can gain an insight into what it is like to be an architect, engineer, composer, artist, journalist, and a programmer.

Level of English required for this role:
Intermediate English

Times and commitment required for this role

Hours required: 2hrs Weekly
