About Shannons Hopeline

Shannons Hopeline works to prevent suicide and self harm in adolescents and create a sense of Hope and Strength. We provide one on one counselling, as well as courses on anti-bullying and self development.

What's Involved

Would you like to be part of an organisation working to develop strong and confident young people who are equipped with life coping skills for now and in their future?

You will be facilitating a newly designed course by Shannon's Hopeline CLG called Be Kind To Your Mind.. The course is designed to help with the mental health well-being of children ranging from age 10 and upwards. Volunteers must have a qualification in training.

Be Kind to Your Mind Workshops
The structured workshops provide young people with the tools and abilities to master tough situations with confidence for now and in their future. They are broken up in into 4 key modules:
1. Anti-Bullying
2. Confidence Building
3. Mindfulness and
4. Gratitude.

So far, we have completed courses for local Schools, Sports Clubs and even Parent groups.

How will you be helping us?
You will be helping us achieve our mission to: Support & Educate Young People on the importance of looking after their Mental Health. Aiming to prevent suicide by creating in them a sense of Hope, Strength and Confidence

What's required for this position

Do you have a positive outlook on life and interested in the area of mental health and youth? We are looking for someone with energy and enthusiasm, able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.

Volunteers must have a qualification in training.

Fluent English
