About St. Oliver Plunkett Hospital

St Olivers is a 63 bedded community hospital situated in the grounds of the Louth County Hospital in Dundalk The facility provides Day Care, Respite, Extended care and Dementia for older people in the locality. Our aim is to provide a quality service appropriate to each clients needs. Our philosophy is to enhance positive ageing.

What's Involved

St. Olivers would love to hear from people who would be interested in visiting the hospital one or two hours per week, to undertake a particular activities and games with the service users at the hospital e.g. Bingo, Arts and Crafts, Storytelling - anything activities would be welcome.

Must be able to interact well with older people and be friendly and able to work independently with the patients.

What's required for this position

The ability to interact with older people.Volunteers must have excellent English language skills and communication skills and be sensitive to the needs of older people.

Fluent English

Times and commitment required for this role

Hours required: 2hrs Weekly
