Irish Homeless Street Leagues

About Irish Homeless Street Leagues

The Irish Homeless Street League uses the power of sport to transform the lives of individuals who have encountered difficulties and fallen on hard times. It's about rebuilding lives using sport as a catalyst for change. We look to engage male and female players, usually between the ages of 18 and 40 years, from underprivileged, poorly educated, socially excluded communities into more mainstream activities. Our primary target groups include: homeless and rough sleepers, drug / alcohol dependent individuals in rehab, refugees and asylum seekers, ex-offenders, and long-term unemployed with identified learning disabilities.

What's Involved

We are looking for a volunteer - ideally with an interest in social issues and sport - to help us redesign and redevelop our old website as it is out of date. Once the redesign is complete we want to be able to add any updates to the website ourselves, without having to go back to the volunteer.

Once selected we would pay lunch or travel costs to meetings but we would not envisage too many of them as most contact can be done remotely.
