About EDIT (Edenmore Drugs Intervention Team)
EDIT is a community drug and alcohol project that provides support for young people, adults. Edenmore Drug Intervention Team (EDIT) supports people at risk of, or affected by, problem substance use. EDIT was established in Edenmore in 1997 and continues to deliver a range of services to the local community along with people from across north east Dublin.
What's Involved
Expressions of interest are now being sought from persons available to serve on the board as director and play their part in the planning, development and overseeing the implementation of a new Strategic Plan. Specifically, the organisation is looking to fill the role of Vice Chairperson.
This role would include duties such as:
• Attendance and engagement at meetings, due notice for inattendance.
• Participation in training, if available.
• Willingness to become familiar with the Governance Code and to develop an understanding of how the community and voluntary sector work.
• Stand in for the chairperson at meetings if they are unavailable.
• Assist the chairperson with matters between meetings.
• Deal with specific tasks or issues as defined by the governing body (for example, chairing meetings or dealing with personnel matters)
What's required for this position

• Have professional qualifications and experience in the HR, Legal and Finance fields .
• Would like to play their part in the planning, development and overseeing the implementation of a new Strategic Plan.
