About World Meeting Of Families
In August 2018, Ireland will have the joy of hosting the World Meeting of Families 2018 on behalf of Pope Francis. As a nation we will be playing host to thousands of families and pilgrims from all around the globe for one of the largest events of the year.The World Meeting of Families will be running from the 21st to the 26th of August 2018.
The main role of the volunteer stewards is to engage in an interested and friendly way with attendees and to work with organisers to ensure the smooth running of the event.
Volunteers will act as stewards and will help support the information and welcome centres.

What's required for this position
We’re looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers – smiley, happy people willing to offer a genuine welcome, to locals and overseas visitors alike. Essentially to lend a hand where it is needed, to dig in and help to get a job done.
No experience necessary as full training will be provided before you take up a particular role and you will have a designated Volunteer Team Leader for the duration of the event.
Volunteers must be available, for minimum two, ideally four consecutive days, between 18 and 29 August 2018.
The duration of the WMOF2018 is 21 to 26 August 2018 but we require volunteers before and after the event itself.
